Book Description:
Writing in the estimable tradition of Mary Higgins Clark, new mystery star Merry Jones rockets to the top of everyone's must-read list with her first exhilirating novel. The Nanny Murders is a mesmerizing page-turner about missing nannies who have disappeared, one by one, from a close-knit Philadelphia neighborhood.

Zoe Hayes, who works as an art therapist in an institute for seriously deranged patients, is the single mother of an adopted (and adorable) little girl named Molly. Zoe gets involved in the missing nannies case when Molly makes a grisly discovery while playing in the snow--she finds a piece of litter that turns out to be a human finger. One of Zoe's neighbors (but which one?) seems to be a serial killer. Zoe and a mysteriously scarred detective named Nick Stiles team up to catch the killer when suddenly Zoe becomes the prey...

This was the first book I've read by this author. It's hard to say if I really liked it or not. There were parts I thought were very good, and other parts where it left me saying, "Come on. Really? Is that even realistic?" To me, the endinig left something to be desired. On a 1 to 10 scale, I would give it a 6.

This is a new author for me. Written almost 3 years ago, it is also her debut novel. I won't give away the plot but I can tell you it is a real page turner, filled with lots of twists and turns. This book is a very fast read, with a surprise ending. You could read it in a few hours, making it perfect for a plane, beach or poolside. It is also the first book in a series. I am looking forward to reading more by this author. If you like Mary Higgins Clark, you will enjoy Merry Jones.

Good, solid mystery/thriller whose plot leaves you guessing. If you like Mary Higgins Clark or Wendi Corsi Staub, you'll like this book!

Interesting heroine and neighborhood situation - who is taking the nannies and why?? Brave single mom Zoe Hayes tries to unravel the mystery. Fast-paced and full of action.
