Another hilarious book from Jennifer Crusie. The heroine and her sister come to a smalltown to make a short movie. The mayor and town council are worried that they are making a porn movie. Soon there are lies, blackmail, & a murder.

This book was a real struggle for me to finish. If I hadn't been having it read to me via audibook, I don't honestly think I would've stuck it out. Until now I've enjoyed all of the Crusie books I've read but this one just didn't resonate with me. It's about a pair of sisters who visit the town of Temptation to shoot a documovie on a fading movie star (at least that's what I got out of it). They've always been outsiders and were raised by a con man so and though they're harmless enough they rather thrive on being a little 'bad'. Naturally, one of the sister's falls for the upright major. They have lots of supposed fantasy sex (that was a bit boring, if you ask me) and the major gets into hot water because the town is afraid the movie the sisters are making is going to be nothing but porn. Someone dies, a water tower gets painted several times, the aging starlet has sex with the son of her former lover, a young girl falls in love a porn producer (I found this storyline gross) and other assorted things happen that I found unbelievable. This book didn't have the wit and spark of the earlier books I've read by this author and in the end there were so many characters that I had a very difficult time remember who was who and wouldn't bother rereading it to figure it out.

As events spiral out of control, Sophie and Phin find themselves caught in a web of gossip, blackmail, adultery, murder, and really excellent sex. All hell breaks loose in Temptation as Sophie and Phin fall deeper and deeper in trouble . . . and in love.

Good Crusie book!

I love Jennifer Cruisie. Another great book by this author.

New author for me, I enjoyed the story, some suspense as well.

Not one of her best but an enjoyable read nonetheless.
