The Cursed One (Wild Wulfs of London, Bk 3) Author:Ronda Thompson
Book Description:
Wed and widowed in one day, stunning socialite Amelia Sinclair's honeymoon is anything but typical. Then again, neither is Amelia—rebellious and impulsive, marrying Robert Collingsworth was the one sensible thing she ever did. Now he's dead and she must escape the vicious creatures stalking her—even if it means relying on a stranger. Well, maybe not a complete stranger. Amelia first glimpsed Gabriel Wulf years ago on the busy streets of London; since then he has haunted her dreams. But in the flesh, Gabriel is a much more tantalizing than she ever dreamt, and much more complicated...
Gabriel Wulf, the strong one, the sensible one — there was little time for women and none for love. Now, he must protect an enticing beauty—and not just from the dangers that prowl the woods around them. Gabriel has secrets, dark ones he's sure Amelia must never know and could never understand. But she has already awakened his heart...and the beast within. Will Amelia be the key to his salvation, or the architect of her own demise?

There is something about the Wild Wulfs of London premise that's really compelling but, for this reader at least, the series lacked heart and soul. I read all the Wulf stories (3 books & 2 novellas) and they all read the same. None lived up to the hype and I think the problem is with the writing -- it was flat and unemotional.
I liked Gabriel in The Dark One and looked forward to reading about his adventures in love, but he was MIA here, at least his personality was! I really liked Amelia but she was too naive and trusting considering her character liked to thumb her nose at society.
The language and setting seemed strangely ahistorical. It didn't feel like it was set in Regency England, in fact it could have been set any where in the world. Their dialogue and thoughts were modern for a historical and took away from the story. Overall, this was just an okay read.

The Wild Wulfs of London meet the 4 plus one brothers. Armond, Gabriel, Jackson, and Sterling. Then there’s Merrick.
Sterling’s Story: A Wulf’s Curse in “Midnight Pleasures”
Armond’s Story: The Dark One
Jackson’s Story: The Untamed One
Merrick’s Story: The Forgotten One in “Love at First Bite”
Gabriel’s Story: The Cursed One (Ronda’s last book published before her death)
Confessions of a Werewolf Supermodel (Ronda’s last book, published after her death)

Another great book in the Wild Wulfs series! I really enjoyed this series (the second two better than the first). This book is about Gabriel, the strong silent brother! He is determined to not let 'weakness' overtake him as it has his brothers, and submit to the curse. Then he winds up having to rescue Amelia from some other strange creatures who are hunting her. Enjoy!

This was actually book 3 in a series. Didn't seem to hurt the story to read out of order. Really liked the characters and the storyline. This is a story about curses and body shifters.
