The nightcreature series is fabulous! Don't miss any of them. They are great.

This was not one of my favorites of Handeland's either. It WAS informative though and filled you in on the characters for future books. I just felt it was too far fetched, and not too believable. She went on many tangents, and repeated herself often within this one book. There were also the explanations, and catching up on previous books and characters; which left not much more room for the story that this book was supposed to be about. I have to agree with the other reviews, the male hero was not very "tough" and was barely even in the book. Regardless, I still enjoy her writing and I finished the novel, so that I wouldn't miss anything in the future books. In my opinion, I just think she could have done better.
