Book Description:
Claire Kennedy left Lake Bluff, Georgia, for the bright lights of Atlanta and a promising career in journalism. Now, recovering from a cruel betrayal, sheÂÂ''s back in the one place she always felt safe, starting over as Lake BluffÂÂ''s new mayor. But then, trouble comes to town in the form of Malachi Cartwright, a man whose past is as mysterious as his present-- a man who awakens something dangerous in a sensible, realistic Claire. When a tourist claims to have been mauled by a vicious wolf, and when the attacks turn deadly, Malachi'ÂÂ's strange behavior rouses ClaireÂÂ''s suspicions. Could he have a secret agenda and a sinister reason for coming to Lake Bluff? Malachi is the only man who could tempt Claire to succumb to her desires --but heÂÂ''s the last person she can trust. And as an eclipse approaches, the secrets of the hidden moon will come to light, and a deadly enemy will be revealed at last...

Very disappointing read. Almost made me regret having spent a book credit on it. The story line was a little bland. The main character was too whiny. I just couldn't find myself gettting through it fast enough. I'm a quick reader and I found myself not wanting to waste my time on it. I love Lori Handelands previous books, so I don't know if the subject matter is just not appealing to her anymore and she's writing just to write; or if it's me outgrowing her.

Not one of my favorites at all.

Another great story that I read straight through. A mystery to the end!

I love Lori Handeland. All the books in the "moon" series have a common thread but are completely stand alone books. This story about werewolves and shape-shifters was romance, mystery & comedy all in one. I kept thinking I had it figured out but I didn't. Ended w/ apperances from a few of the past characters in the "moon" series. A tad too much "romance" for me, as I like more paranormal & less romance but it was all in all a very good, enjoyable read.
