I really enjoy this series and this entry is very good, although the plot is quite complex. Robb handles it nicely, though. The main attraction to me remains the characterizations and excellent sense of time and place.

This 14th century mystery series set in York is, in my humble opinion, ranked only behind the pinnacle of Medieval mysteries, Ellis Peters' Cadfael series. This one takes place in 1365-1366.

Read this first in the Owen Archer series and now want to read all of them! Ordered 2 today (to add to the 4 I already have) - does anyone have the whole list, in the order they were written? Thanks so much, Mary
