This book gave me nightmares. Imagine a doctor who believes satan is in everyone who opposes him. Now imagine this doctor taking over a mental hospital and 'treating' everyone - patients and staff. If you are into graphic violence and torture explained away with ideas about the human psyche you will love this book.
Keith Ablow is a wonderful writer, but I just couldn't get into this book. I read it in a day, but for the plot there were just too many characters and digressions. I recommend his book Psychopath, instead of this one.
A mystery that involves a forensic psychiatrist.
I like him, but he scares me
Once an accomplished plastic surgeon, Trevor Lucas started using his scalpel to do very bad things... Locked in a Boston psychiatric hospital, Lucas is holding the ward hostage-and performing grisly "operation" on his prisoners...
A convincing, seductively fascination portrait fo a man and a milieu obsessed with sensation and trapped in denial of that obsession. - Publishers Weekly

This is another good book in the series. Killer Trevor Lucas is holding hostages in a psychiatric hospital. Frank Clevenger may be able to strike a deal, but he only has 24 hours...
Any book written by Keith Ablow is excellent!
This book picks up right where Denial leaves off. I couldn't put it down after the first page.

"PROJECTION is a crime novel like no other. It's a week in the loony bin; it's a psycho tour de force. Keith Ablow has the expertise and an overachiever's grasp."--James Ellroy, author of L.A. CONFIDENTIAL
"PROJECTION...isn't for the squemish...Readers of Thomas Harris's gruesome Hannibal Lecter tales...would do well to look here."--Boulder Camera
