Book Description:
Pasadena pediatrician Kevin Paul Anderson was admired and trusted by his wife and patients, and looked up to as a mentor by many of his associates. Handsome, athletic, and established, he was also a magnet for women. Deepti Gupta, a thirty-three-year-old fellow doctor, was the kind of conquest Anderson sought: pretty, anxious to do well, and eager to please. It wasn't long before they began having an affair...

But the affair soon ended when Deepti told her mentor that she was pregnant with his child. threatened with exposure as a sexual harasser and his career and marriage at risk, Anderson took his lover on a romantic rendezvous in the San Gabriel Mountains. under the stars, Anderson strangled Deepti with his necktie, doused her body and car with gasoline, and shoved both over a steep cliff to make it look like an accident. But was it an outburst of unexpected rage, as Anderson later claimed, or was it premeditated murder? Or was it something more mysterious still?

Not every court case has enough information to fill a book, and in this case, I feel that a certain amount of "wishful thinking" fills the empty spots where facts ought to be.

A well written true story about two physicans who in the process of forming a practice together, start an affair that ends tragically one night in the San Gabriel mountains. Photos and courtroom drama.

This was a hard book to put down. Doctors Kevin Anderson and Deepti Gupta were two young, admired, and dedicated pediatricians. Both were married and had young children. While trying to form a professional partnership, they becoming romantically involved and seemed to develop almost a love/hate relationship. Their coming from different ethnic backgrounds as well as having very different temperaments may account for some of the misunderstandings that occurred. Finally things boiled out of control. It all ended with murder at a romantic point in the San Gabriel Mountains. Dr. Anderson strangled Dr. Gupta, who was pregnant with his child. The resulting apprehension and conviction of Dr. Anderson left many questions about the relationships not only between the doctors but with their devistated spouses as well. The true motive was never really satisfactorily revealed.

Handsome, athletic pediatrician, Kevin Anderson wanted it all. His wife, his girlfriend, admiration. When a fellow doctor became pregnant with his child, he killed her. Why? Includes picture insert.
