Dr. Stephen Swain has found himself locked in the after-hours darkness of the New York Public Library. It isn’t a mistake. He’s been entombed in the historic sanctuary for a reason—as the guest of an unknown host, chosen for a night of fun and games. He’s unprepared. He’s afraid. And he’s not alone.
Six other contestants roam the black halls, room by room, floor by floor, in the dead silence. Each strapped with an explosive set to detonate should they escape before the night is over. The terms are simple: seven players enter—only one will leave.
Now Swain must navigate the labyrinth to outwit the unknown moves of his mysterious opponents, and to outlast the unimaginable dangers that await him. Against insurmountable odds the contest has begun. Should he win, the greatest, most unfathomable terror lies at the night’s end: the very reason behind the game…

I'm not normally a person that reads this genre but I couldn't put it down. A real page turner filled with action all the way through. Made me a BIG fan of this author. He is in his late 20s and is from Austrailia. No hanky panky and he makes a great read especially for those young men who are between the ages of young adult to adult where it's hard to find something that will hold your attention.

So much better than I expected! I've never been one to read books about monsters, but with this one.. it was so much mor about the mans survival, and getting his 8 year old daughter out alive.. wonderful book.

An interesting read. Extra-terrestrials use Earth as the place for an intergalactic warrior contest. A human is entered without knowing and without any clue that ET's really exist. A bloodbath ensues.
Will the human survive?

This is a SF thriller about a man struggling to stay alive in an interstellar contest that can have only one surviving participant. It's a fast-paced, easy read with lots of action. Fans of Rollins and the Child/Preston writing team will likely enjoy this book.

Hero tossed into a galactic survival game held in a New York library. Lots of aliens, lots of chasing and being chased. A fun no-brainer. Super quick read.
