This story revolves around Eve Garrett, the sister in the E.D.E.N. Securities Company owned by her family.

Another good romantic suspense story. This story brings together 2 people whose 1 night together at the end of high school left one with emotional scars. Their protection assignment brings them back together and forces them to face all their past mistakes. The romance builds along with the suspense while they work to find a missing teenager. Very good read.

If you like romantic suspense that involve ex special forces you'll like this series of books.

Ms. Gerard's second installment of her "Bodyguard series" is a real page turner with wonderful chemistry between our two main characters, Mac and Eve. Readers will be drawn into the story in order to see if these two strong but hurt people will find the happy ending they deserve.

Eve is a former Secret Service agent and when one of her former targets calls for help, she is there only to find out that it was a trick. What wasn't funny though is the fact that she is hurt bad with a threat ringing in her ears that "she's (Eve) dead." Eve isn't scared off and she goes on the road looking for Tiffany a teenager that needs her help. She ends up running into her only regret. Ex-cop, now P.I. Tyler "Mac" McClain. This high school bad boy left breaking a promise, and her heart. She is older but not wiser when it comes to this man. One look and she is back in the past, fighting an attraction that she doesn't want to exist. Will she be able to work with this man in order to find Tiffany and be able to walk away with her heart intact or will Mac claim her heart once again?

This was another strong romantic suspense from a new voice in the genre that has established herself as an excellent storyteller. Her character development is well done, and the situation that she puts these two people in is explosive. I loved the push/pull that Mac and Eve had going it made their romance all the more sensual and likeable! I look forward to the next in this series. If the past two books are any indication the following stories will only get better!

Great...a fun series by Gerard.

A very sexy book filled with Mystery, Romance and a plot that will have you reading every sizzling page.

I was hoping this would be good, but it pretty much sucked. I couldn't care about the two main characters who spend a lot of time lusting after each other and chasing after a missing heiress. Even though the main characters keep thinking about how mind-blowing the sex is, the actual sex scenes are pretty sketchy and non-mind-blowing. Oddly, the heiress and her young rescuer are much better drawn characters and I found their scenes much more affecting and interesting. I would have preferred a story about them.

Overall, too much telling, not enough showing. The denoument of the plot was utterly contrived and cartoonish, including the hackneyed bad-guy cliche of "I'm about to kill you, but why don't I spent ten precious minutes explaining why you're about to die" and conviently wrapping up every mystery in the plot, giving the good guys time to come in with guns blazing. Lame.

Second in the series. I preferred the characters in the first book, but this was a better scenario. Can't wait to read the third.

2nd in The Bodygaurd Series. Very suspensful. I couldn't hardly lay this one down. It is so intruding you have to find out what is gonna happen next.

Good book
When former Secret Service agent Eve Garrett, gets a late night call from Tiffany Clayborne saying "Eve, please come and get me" she books over the the bar Tiffany says she's at. She met the girl when she was still an agent. Tiffany was her first assignment and she developed a big sister attachment to the kid that continues to this day. However, when Eve gets to the bar she sees some suspicious activity in a dark alley and her gut tells her that Tiffany is involved. When she goes after her, she's knocked out and when she comes to, Tiffany is gone. Eve believes that Tiffany is in danger. But when she goes to Tiffany's father, he doesn't want Eve anywhere near Tiffany. After all she was in charge the last time Tiffany got hurt. Eve and Tiffany have put that incident behind them. Her father has not. He plans to hire his own private detective to check into this.doesn't hesitate. Eve doesn't trust Tiffany's safety to anyone else and decides to hunt fo her on her own. However, uring her search in Miami, Florida she runs into Clayborne's detective--her old flame, Mac, who loved her and left her. He's the last person she wants to see, especially on this case. Apparently part of the Bodyguard series, which I haven't read, this is a better than average romantic suspense about a ex-secret service female agent who is now in the personal security business, who attempts to solve the "kidnapping" of a billionaire's daughter. She teams up with an ex-lover to add steam to the mix. Although I guessed the end, some decent twists in the story.
