and elegant thriller
Not as fast paced as some of Harrison's other novels.
People magazine says--- Terrifying but Hugely Entertaining.

This book is a little slow at the beginning but once you get into it, it was really suspenseful.
Bill Wyeth is a rising real estate attorney living the lofty heights of success. Then a tragic accident claims everything he has - family, fortune, his Park Ave. apt. and his career. But this is Manhattan. Bill has much further to fall. And tonight, it's by invitation only. Terrifying but hugely entertaining.
A high-powered New York attorney loses his wife, son, and career after a tragic accident occurs at his home. He becomes somewhat of a hermit, his only contact with others comes in the form of meal times taken at a steakhouse. But at the back of this restaurant is a lounge to which people are admitted by the manager's invitation only. Bill becomes involved with the beautiful manager and with the strange events that occur when he is invited into the lounge.
A very interesting book. The story is somewhat strange, especially when you learn what goes on in the exclusive Havana Room, but an entertaining story altogether. Lots of mysterious elements combine for a good read.
