This is Kenyon's best by far. It is rare that a romance evokes such emotion in me, but this one had me laughing, crying, and rejoicing with the characters all within the span of a few pages. Wulf is amazing, and Cassandra is grace personified. Every paranormal romance fan needs to read this one!

Got to read it...ANY of the Dark-Hunter books ROCK! Plots are so good...you are begging for more! Detailed situations, awesome characters, lots of chemistry. Even if this isn't your usual type of book...give it a try!!!

Loved this book. Once again Kenyon makes us laugh when these big strong powerful good looking intimating characters of hers interact with each other like little kids fighting over a beloved toy. Worth the read.

Great installment in the series! I especially liked learning more about Appolites and Daimons in this one.

Good background information. Each book seems to add a little more.

A Dark-Hunter novel. The story of Wulf Tryggvasen. No one remembers Wulf 5 minutes after he has left their presence, except for those of his bloodline, other Dark-Hunters, gods and demi-gods....until he rescues Cassandra Peters. Half human and half Appolite, Cassandra is being hunted by the son of Apollo who believes her death will free the curse which banishes all Daimons to the darkness. Of course her death will also mean the destruction of the sun, the earth and all who live there. Now it's Wulf's job to protect a woman of the race he has been hunting all his life.

The characters in this book are very interesting, very likeable, and very funny. Wulf is my favorite "Dark Hunter", at least so far, and I was delighted with the character of Cassandra. Chris, the only one who can remember Wulf for more than five minutes, beside the other Dark Hunters, before Cassandra come into Wulf's live is so sarcastically funny, and provides much comic relief during the darker story times.
While I have enjoyed reading the previous Dark Hunter books by Kenyon, this one has made me a real fan!

This book was fantastic and kept with the story line. Wulf and Cassandra are truly love-story material. This book kept me on my seat and I couldn't put it down until I was done. Each book in the series provides bits and pieces of the overall Archeron saga and want you to keep reading the series to find out more. I definitely can't wait to read the next books.

A definitely darkly romantic story but well worth reading!

Supernatural Romance. Wulf is an immortal Viking Dark Hunter with a problem. No mortal can remember him five minutes after he leaves their presence. Cassandra is from the race that Wulf kills, but now he must protect her. And he wants to.
Kenyon has created a very complicated mythology as the basis of her Dark Hunter books and I found it confusing. Maybe those who have read more books understand it, but for me it got in the way of the story. Still this book has a lot of action and strong passions, and things really keep moving.
