When I saw Rosamunde Pilcher's name on the cover I knew this would be a great read. The author captures the English countryside perfectly and her characters are wonderful! ...I hated to see story end. I highly recommend this book; its great women's fiction.

Brigid rents out cottages in the Devon moors. She meets interesting renters, some who come back for years. When a mysterious stranger lurks in the countryside, Brigid and her boarders meet a crisis that crystallizes the family problems they each have. This author reminds me of Maeve Binchy. A satisfying relationship read.

Richly drawn characters, beautifully crafted plot, and a happy ending(with tears in between).
A great read
