It took me a while to get into the story and I do like paranormal and and regency romances separately. About half way through (when they get off the boat) I finally started to enjoy it more probably because they were finally in England which is what I equate with a 'regency'. The writing is very atmospheric and detailed. Sometimes a bit too detailed. I enjoyed the last half of the story very much. Good characters and though it's part of a series, it's definately a stand alone book.

Darker story than I like. It's depressing in places.

Wow!! This book was the best paranormal romance I have read!
A hot 10 rating! One of the best vampire novels out this year. The other novels are: Beyond the Pale by Savannah Russe, and Dark Lover by ? Ward. Great books
