A Companion vampire book. Beatrix has spent 600 years trying to atone for her sins and forget the one man she loved - until she meets John Staunton, Earl of Langley. Attracted to each other, Beatrix fears revealing what she is and Langley cannot share his other personna as a government spy for England against Napoleon. When Beatrix discovers John has been sent after no other than her centuries-old rival, will she be able to save him....or will they both fall to the evil named Asharti. Gritty with an edge of your seat ending.

Darker story than I like. It's rather depressing in places.

I skipped to the last page,on accident, and it ruined it for me.So I never finsished reading it.I don't like reading books with sucky endings...but be your own judge and read it yourself everyone has different tases.I mean before I read the ending it was a pretty good book, lol.

My copy has 3 creases on the cover and the one on the right corner causes it to curl a little bit. A good reading copy.
This is a good vampire romance, set in the 1800's in mostly england and france.

Although it's not my usual taste in vampire romance, it had a very interesting and fast moving story line.
