I really enjoy this series about the four women -- the cop, the ADA, the ME and the reporter.

A terrorist group is -- yes -- terrorizing San Francisco. The ladies must be MORE than one step of the small band of radicals who sign their word "August Spies" -- and the life of one of the ladies is in terrible peril because she works for what the group perceives as their enemy.

Detective Lindsay Boxer is jogging along a beautiful San Francisco street when a fiery explosion rips through the neighborhood. A town house owned by an internet millionaire is immediately engulfed in flames, and when Lindsay plunges inside to search for survivors, she finds three people dead. An infant who lived in the house cannot be found-and a mysterious message at the scene leaves Lindsay and the S.F. Police Department completely baffled. Then a prominent businessman is found murdered under bizarre circumstances, with another mysterios message left behind by the killer. Lindsay asks her friendsa Claire Washburn of the M.E.'s office, Assistant D.A. Jill Bernhardt, and Chronicle reporter Cindy Thomas to help her figure out who is commiting these murders-and why they are intent on killing someone every three days. I like this author's novels, and this was a good one.

The third book of five book with the main attraction being "The Womans Murder Club....." The is a group of four woman comprised of the Assn't DA, A top news reporter, the medical examiner and a Lt. for the SFPD. The four woman are putting their heads together to solve a high profile case.....They have sucessfully solved crimes in the past and continue to put their lives on the line to solve the latest one involving powerful, businessman.

To make things worse, one of their very own is targeted. Det Lindsay also learns that one of the members may be hiding a secret so dangerous and unbelievale that it could destroy them all.

Very quick read ... page turner. Interesting characters and story line. Enjoyable.

A great thriller.

The women's murder club is a great series. This one takes quite a sad turn of events. I can't wait to read the 4th though.

Couldn't put it down

lindsay faces some heat in this book. especially when one of her friends are targeted.

I wasn't a huge fan of this book. I thought that the plot was slow and really went nowhere. It did have some suspense but nothing that really pulled me in so much that I couldn't put it down. It was a slow read for me.

GREAT, GREAT story. James Patterson at his best. I read this book in one day as I just could not put it down. Highly recommend.

Third in the series of his writings with Andrew Gross, but still an excellent and intriguing James Patterson read.
