This was a fun one to read. Ben Holiday purchased a kingdom and the adventure begins. He meets a talking dog, a girl who turns into a tree and a host of others.

This is one of my favorites! I read and re-read this book until the cover fell off (not that that stopped me from reading it again!). I highly recommend this book. You will NOT be disappointed!

I loved this book. I am not a huge fan of fantasy, yet this book hooked me...I waited and waited as each book came painfully slow from the author. I am really glad I read it. I plan to re-read them before the next generation of Magical Kingdom comes out!

This is the first in the 1990s series by the same name. Herein we find out how come the Court Scribe ended up a dog, and what causes the beautiful girlfriend of Ben Holliday to be green, as well as just how disenchanting and dangerous a Magic Kingdom can be.

Good, entertaining read.

The first in the series, Terry Brooks subtly draws you in and uses his awesome way with words to make you feel like you are there and that this could be happening to you

The Barons refused to recognize a king, and the peasants were without hope. A dragon was laying waste the countryside, while an evil witch plotted to destroy everything. The task of proving his right to be King seemed hopeless, but Ben Holiday was stubborn.

This is a fun, easy read and a much less dark fantasy novel than the Shanara series with a good moral at the end.

it took me a few chapters to get into this book but I have been very happy with it.After reading four out of the five in the series now I am happy I took the time to get into it.

This book is so fun. Really a good read.
