Book Description:
Orb had a rare gift--the magic which manifested whenever she sang or played her harp. No one could resist her music. But she knew that greater magic lay in the Llano, the mystic music that controlled all things. The quest for the Llano occupied Orb's life. Until she met Natasha, handsome and charming, and an even finer musician. But her mother Niobe came as an Aspect of Fire, with the news that Orb had been chosen for the role of Incarnation of Nature--The Green Mother. But she also warned of a prophecy that Orb was to marry Evil. Could she be sure that Natasha was not really Satan, the Master of Illusion, laying a trap for her...?

Excellent, original fantasy series. The Incarnaions of Immortality was my introduction to Piers Anthony and, I think, his best work. I think there are eight or nine books in this series, and Being a Green Mother is somewhere in the middle. Technically, since each book does stand on it's own, the series does not have to be read in any specific order, but I would suggest starting at the begining with "On a Pale Horse." 5 stars, fantastic read!

One of the books in the Incarnation of Immortality series. These books are enjoyable and I would recommend them to any adolescent reader. If you have or know reluctant readers, this series is one I would recommend.

I hadn't read this series in a while and decided to go back to it after a few years, I still found it to be enjoyable to read. Anthony has a way of making things funny and exciting for his readers.

Truly a great addition to the series. Each book is interesting and entertaining, and takes me back to when I first read this series more than a dozen years ago.

Book 5 of 'Incarnations of Immortality'. Good addition to the series, but way convoluted.

a WONDERFUL book. I seriously wanted to cry at the very end, and I just DEVOURED the whole series.
