Fun read.
Elizabeth MacPherson's Scottish fiance calls from across the seas with a once-in-a-lifetime invitation to tea with Her Majesty the Queen. There's a hitch, of course--no friends or fiances allowed, only spouses. Royalty enthusiast that she is, Elizabeth solves the dilemma by planning a large formal wedding in five weeks.
In between Elizabeth's fittings and flowers, a local widow receives word that her dear husband has died on a highway in San Diego. Odd, as the errant husband died five years before. And the widow's got ashes in an urn to prove it!
