Book Description:
Remember these names. Boomer. Dead-Eye. Pins. Geronimo. Reverend Jim. Mrs. Columbo. They were great cops. The best cops. But they are cops no more. Now they are apaches -- a renegade unit working on their own. It is the early 1980s. Crack cocaine has made its devastating appearance. Violence is escalating and so is an unnerving lack of morality. Things are happening that have never happened before.

Cops no longer able to be on the force band together and form "The Apaches". A renegade unit working on their own going after the most vicious criminals of New York City.

NY Times bestseller, intense crime novel about policemen who have been retired due to injury, and still have the mental compulsion to take action against those who are major criminals but slip through the legal netting.

First book I've read by this author and was worth the gamble. A bit different but an interesting concept involving a group of damaged and forcefully retired cops who join up to put an end to an exquisitely evil drug smuggling ring. Very shocking and gruesome at times with a few surprises in the end but an entertaining read.

This is a great cop story! Each member of the Apaches has their own story for becoming a cop and what happened to them and how they came together to form the 'Apaches' and the people they pursue for justice. If you're faint of heart then this is not for you, descriptions and details are so good you can just 'see' it.

Not a who-done-it, not a suspense thriller, not an action novel, but this book will keep you wondering if they can pull off getting the job done. A hard book to put down.

This book was okay. I work for a trucking company and most of the drivers read it and liked it. It kept me occupied for a nice Sunday at home. It is not in very good condition but is readable. You can tell it was read well.

This was a great book. I read it a few years ago, but I loved it as I did his other one.
