Josie and Cooper were one of those couples everyone envied: gorgeous, successful, and so deeply devoted. Even though Josie tended to work too hard, putting in long hours to lift her fledgling company off the ground, and Cooper could be wild and unpredictable, the two complimented one another. It seemed their love would last forever. But sometimes love just isn’t enough. When a tragic accident leaves Josie and Cooper with two young children to care for, their bond will be tested. Now the pressures of their commanding careers are compounded by the needs of the children, and they find themselves drifting further and further apart. They will have to work to find the way back to each other, to the incredible passion that was once at the center of lives–and still burns deep in their hearts.
I like Brockman, but this was bittersweet, a little heavy in the middle. Too much relationship analysis, not enough fun. Not my favorite brockman.

To the Suzanne Brockmann fans this is one of her earlier books you will enjoy if you haven't read it. This is a story about the pitfalls of modern romance and the difficulty of staying together. This couple has unexpected surprises.

This is a love redemption story. Josie and Cooper were a loving, successful couple. When Josie's sister dies, they get custody of her two kids and their marriage is tested. I didn't think Josie was a very likable heroine and she didn't deserve Cooper at all.

Great story of a couple who think they have it all... then they end up having to care for two children and their relationship and love are tested to the limits.

Good, but not as good as her SEAL books.
