Book Description:
In a host of consecutive bestsellers, Jonathan Kellerman has kept readers spellbound with the intense, psychologically acute adventures of Dr. Alex Delaware-and with excursions through the raw underside of L.A. and the coldest alleys of the criminal mind. Rage offers a powerful new case in point, as Delaware and LAPD homicide detective Milo Sturgis revisit a horrifying crime from the past that has taken on shocking and deadly new dimensions.

Troy Turner and Rand Duchay were barely teenagers when they kidnapped and murdered a younger child. Troy, a remorseless sociopath, died violently behind bars. But the hulking, slow-witted Rand managed to survive his stretch. Now, at age twenty-one, he's emerged a haunted, rootless young man with a pressing need: to talk-once again-with psychologist Alex Delaware. But the young killer comes to a brutal end, that conversation never takes place.

Has karma caught up with Rand? Or has someone waited for eight patient years to dine on ice-cold revenge? Both seem strong possibilities to Sturgis, but Delaware's suspicions run deeper . . . and darker. Because fear in the voice of the grownup Rand Duchay-and his eerie final words to Alex: “I'm not a bad person”-betray untold secrets. Buried revelations so horrendous, and so damning, they're worth killing for.

As Delaware and Sturgis retrace their steps through a grisly murder case that devastated a community, they discover a chilling legacy of madness, suicide, and multiple killings left in its wake-and even uglier truths waiting to be unearthed. And the nearer they come to understanding an unspeakable crime, the more harrowingly close they get to unmasking a monster hiding in plain sight.

I always like anything that Kellerman writes and this was no exception. When the murderers of a little two year old girl were caught, tried and convicted in the beginning of the book, I wondered where the plot could possibly go. Well, I found out, with all of the twists and turns, the mastermind was finally revealed.

This was an excellent book. One of his best, alex delaware novel. It's about a murder case of a young girl commited by two teenagers. One who is a minature serial killer in the making and the other a little slow. Alex Delware and his friend Milo dig deeper and uncover a series of coverups and other murders. I would recommend this to anyone that likes these types of novels.

This another winner from Kellerman. It is also has the creepiest plot of any Alex Delaware novel that I have read. If you like this series you will LOVE this book.

Interesting story. Page turner. Though... This is the first Jonathan Kellerman book that I have read. It is an alex Delaware series. He is a Doctor. Personally his personality rubbed me the wrong way. I can't stand the guy! So I guess it is written well when I could have such a harsh feeling for this imagined character. :)

If you are a fan of Kellerman's Delaware stories, you will like this one. A little different than some of his works, this one centers on the murder of a 2-year old and the two teenage boys that were convicted of it. When one of the boys is found dead years later, with Delaware's number on him, trusty detective Milo Sturgis teams up with Delaware to piece together the crime. Lots more talk and theory than action, which was a good thing this time around. The usual twists and turns with some more development than usual makes for a good, solid read.

Typical Alex Delaware/Milo Sturgis story. A little formulaic if you've read a lot of Kellerman, but not bad at all.
