Karen Z. (Melody Evans starts the book as a hostage in a foreign embassy. Harlan "Cowboy" Jones, of course, saves her. This book is not deep. It doesn't make you stop and think. It is just fun to read.
Jones does show early bits of the man who will later be Sam Starrett. In this incarnation, though, he doesn't have nearly as much heartache to live through to get his HEA. I laughed at the brilliance of his tent. Totally didn't expect it. I just loved this man.
This is the 4th book in the Tall Dark and Dangerous series of SEALs by Suzanne Brockmann. Melody Jones is rescued by the SEAL team and has a quick affair with Cowboy Jones. But she wants an ordinary guy, not an adrenaline junkie. But when Cowboy later finds out she's pregnant, he has to convince her to marry him. He tries to be an average guy, an ordinary guy, for her sake, but it's just not in him. How can they have a happily ever after?
