Like the lovely Vermont inn she managed, B. J. Clark was charming and old-fashioned. And she had no intention of allowing the new owner, hotel tycoon Taylor Reynolds, to modernize her beloved inn and destroy its uniqueness. Taylor lived a fast-paced, high-tech sophisticated life. But his fascination with this innocent enchantress made him long to live in B. J.'s arms from this day until forever.
I am a big Nora Roberts fan; however, I can tell by reading this novel that it's one of her early works because it doesn't contain the character development of her latest novels. Still, it's a nice easy read for a lazy Sunday afternoon. The basis of the novel is that BJ Clark, the protagonist, runs a small, charming and old-fashioned inn, and sparks begin to fly when hotel tycoon Taylor Reynolds comes to town to modernize her inn and destroy its uniqueness. A typical happy ending ensues.
