This is 4th in the series. I really enjoyed all of these books, they were great.

After high school Jo came to Rose Cottage to visit her grandmother. Pete and Jo fell in love over the summer. Then Jo left to go to college in Boston. Pete promised he would wait for her but within weeks he went to bed with an old friend and she got pregnant. He married her and let Jo's grandmother tell Jo he had married.

Pete is now divorced with a 5 year old son, Jo caught her fiancee in bed with another woman, she goes to Rose Cottage to recover and meets Pete again. He sees Jo is hurting and tries to help her. She doesn't want him around but he stays and stays- finally breaking down her defenses. Do they have a second chance when Pete's ex-wife learns he is dating the woman she blames for the failure of her marriage?

Jo D'Angelo's sisters thought they had the perfect prescription for mending her shattered heart: a relaxing stay at Rose Cottage, their grandmother's idyllic home. But for Jo, rose Cottage was a painful reminder of her youthful summer romance with Pete Catlett, whose infidelity had come to light when Jo learned of his shotgun wedding....

Pete couldn't believe it when Jo reappeared at Rose Cottage, but he got the distinct impression that he was the last person Jo wanted to see on her doorstep. Pete vowed to gain Jo's forgiveness for his betrayal...and perhaps win her heart in the process?

This is a fast evening read and entertaining.

This is book 4 in the The Rose Cottage Sisters series it is best to read the other 3 first. They are in order: "Three Down the Aisle", "What's Cooking?", "The Laws of Attraction", and of course "For the Love of Pete"
