Book Description:
It's a killer's market. The elegant library in the must-see charmer came complete with built-in bookshelves and its very own corpse--a prominent attorney stabbed through the throat. Colorado realtor Kate Doyle finds herself reeling from the shock of seeing her client, Mark Shuster, dead, with his soon-to-be-ex-wife now the prime suspect. True, the divorce was messy, and selling the house for a quick settlement was Kate's unfortunate task, but when the asking price becomes murder, Kate wants answers.

But all she gets are reasons a lot of people wanted Mark dead. It seems the upstanding good guy was a snake--a cheating spouse with a trail of broken and bitter hearts, and a ruthless conniver who ruined business and cost fortunes. But Kate's snooping proves doubly dangerous when it brings a wily killer back to the closing table--where the only deal is death.

I enjoyed Sefton's knitting mysteries, but this one just didn't grab me. About 50 pages from the end, I decided I didn't care whodunit, and put it down.

This was an interesting first book in a new series. Lines up the main characters, background, etc. Hopefully all these will be developed in further books. The plot was good, and I had no idea who-done-it until the very end. There are several obvious similarities to Sefton's other Knitting series. I would read any other books in this series. I think it has potential to be quite good.

This is a Kate Doyle Mystery. Kate finds herself reeling with shock, when she finds her client dead and his soon to be ex wife the prime suspect.

Kate Doyle gets involved in her friend's husbands murder when Amanda, her friend becomes the number one suspect. Lots of information about life as a Realtor along the way. Very entertaining.

Kate Doyle, newbie Colorado realtor, knew that her job could be complicated, but when dealing with the sale of her friends' home, little did she know that it could be deadly. When Kate arrives at Mark's home for him to sign the sales papers she find him in the elegantly appointed library with a letter opener sticking out of his neck. Usually, this would be an open and shut case, the spouse is always the first suspect, but with Mark's philandering ways, the suspect list grows exponentially. So of course, Kate has to snoop and solve the case to free her friend of suspicion. Maggie Sefton is known for her Knitting Series and I believe that this book is the first in a new series. Interesting start with what could be a good continuation of characters. Can't wait to see what develops between Kate and the home inspector / gun expert Chekov.
