This is the best book I have read so far this year. The characters are good, strong, clear characters some of whom I would even let move in next door to me. The plot is well laid out, the subplots are supporting the main story beautifully! This is defiantely a keeper! (I bought two--sheepish grin.)

Vampire Samantha Turner has vowed to spend her immortal life protectin the helpless and shielding herself from the violence of men's passions. She runs a women's shelter in New York City. This book isn't in to the sexiness of violence like some other vampire romances. It's more about the loneliness and vulnerability of the vampire life. Good romance and mystery.

A new twist on an old theme, She's a vampire in New York, he's a cop. Pretty good book.
