Search - Heart's Wager (Harlequin Historical, No 263)

The sequal to "The Hearts Desire", Devon Burke and the mysterious Julie de Valme must rescue Dominic Maitland from a prison in Paris.

I found this story hard to follow. It seemed closely tied with the book that proceeded it and might make more sense if I had read that first. There were several scenes that were just inexplicable and never explained. Wilson's style is also not as well developed here as in her later books.

Great trilogy set during Napoleon war.
