Book Description:
A cryptic message linked to a long lost African tribe holds a terrifying curse... In the crumbling remains of a tunnel that was part of the Underground Railroad, a mysterious artifact reveals one of the darkest secrets of Africa's ancient past. Intrigued by the strange, encrypted stone, archaeologist Annja Creed opens a door to a world -- and a legend -- bound by fierce and terrible force. She is not alone in her pursuit of the impossible. A bloodthirsty African warlord, and an international corporate magnate exploiting a land, a culture and a people, are equally anxious to stake their claim on the relic's unknown power. Annja's odyssey deep into the primeval jungles of the Senegal becomes a desperate race to stop those eager to unleash the virulence of the Spider God....

It's pretty widely known that the Rogue Angel books were written by more than one author. Destiny was the best in the series. Truly a keeper. I read the second book and could see immediately that it was written by someone else. Annja was transformed into a less heroic figure who killed more often.

Now I have finished the 3rd book in the series - The Spider Stone. I could tell immediately that this book had been written by the original author of Destiny. The original Annja character was back - and just as likeable as the original.

This book was well written and very well plotted. It kept me on the edge of my seat until it's thrilling conclusion. I highly recommend it.

I really like this main character! I think I like this book better than the past two. It had lots of action, more than the others which I like. Good plot, good sub characters. A good read!

A little thin on plot. Details were left out that would have made it more credible. Not as good as the other books.
