Frances H. (Another good story in the Stone Creek series. This time Ashley hooks up again with Jack McCall, the Special Forces heartthrob who broke her heart a year previously. He's back in town to make amends, but finds that he's been injected with a lethal drug that's killing his bone marrow.
We again see the familiar faces from the other Stone Creek novels...country singer Brad, his wife & new family...sister Livvie (the veterinarian that understands animals) and her husband, and twin sister Melissa--charging ahead with her legal career.
In this book, there's action, romance, and a bit of humor. It was enjoyable and a quick read. I wonder if it's going to be Melissa's story next???
