Good way to spend an evening. Entertaining reading - love books with women in them who have what they would have called "gumption" back in the day... not a disappointing read at all.

There was absolutely no romance- just sex. Why should Emily be surprised and angered that her husband married her to get an inheritance? It was a marriage of convenience. She says shes not interested in money but she sure is eager enough to spend it when Jake offers it to her as a stipulation. I kept ready ahead to get past what was being whinned about over and over again. Story was predictable all the way through. Waste of time. She was weak and he was perverted. I thought they were both very selfish. Not a winner!
