Book 2 of 3: McKettrick Men series (Rance's story)
The only wide-open space Rance McKettrick wants to see in his future is his hometown in his rearview mirror. The down-to-earth ex-rancher is determined to make a fresh start with his two young daughters -- and leave his heatbreaking loss and family's successful corporation far behind. He sure doesn't need Indian Rock's free-spirited new bookstore owner Echo Wells confusing his choices... and raising memories he'd rather forget. But her straightforward honesty and reluctance to trust is challenging everything Rance thought he knew about himself. And when their irresistible attraction puts their hearts on the line, Rance and Echo must come to grips with who they really are to find a once-in-a-lifetime happiness.

Second in the McKettrick's Men series. But, every bit as good as the first (Luck). This is Rance's story about his second chance for romance and happiness. He's every bit as charming as Jesse (Luck), but more intense and driven than Jesse. It makes his relationship with Echo full of sparks and surprises.

The is the second book of the McKettrick Men series. The modern day tale of the descendants of the Triple M Ranch introduced in the (historical) McKettrick Cowboy series. The first and third McKettrick Men books are 'McKettrick's Luck' & "McKettrick's Heart'.

This is the first I've read of this author's writtings but now I'll be looking for more. It is a nice little romance (not my favorite genre) The second in the series which is still easy to follow without reading the first. Cute characters, nice plot, nothing over the top. One of the main characters has a book shop so I thought that was really cute to read about since PBS is like my bookshop.

Great books, I love this author. I have the first book in this trilogy, but it is unpostable due to some damage from a burst highlighter.

I love the McKettrick books! This one is no exception. Hunky guy, kids, and a good dog - what more could a woman want?

The second book in the McKettrick Men Series. Another great book by Ms Miller. Her characters are flawed but lovable. Five years after the death of his wife, Rance is still torn over his guilt regarding his marriage and he really does not want to try love again. Echo has loved and been hurt and she is not sure she ever wants to try love again - fear of being hurt again keeps her from even thinking of the possibility of love. Then fate, a dog, Rance's family and a love spell bring Echo and Rance together. A wonderful story that shows the power that love can be in helping to heal wounded hearts.
