This book is the first of a trilogy - (Lucky Streak and Lucky Break are other two in series). I really enjoyed reading this book.

This book is the first of a trilogy - (Lucky Streak and Lucky Break are other two in series). This was the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed her style of writing. The plots and writing kept me reading the book - not wantingto put it down. I can't wait to read more by her.

A great read!!

I admit I didn't finish this one. The characters fell flat me as well. I couldn't sustain my interest in part because a hero as smart he is supposed to be wouldn't have broken up originally for the reason. (Young men are much more likely to challenge fate..)

And yes, the kid was a little too well adjusted, at least in the parts I read, and given the nature of the situation.

I'm a Carly Phillips fan, but this one just fell a little flat to me. The story was a little too predictable and the hero and heroine were too 2D for me. Not enough depth in either the characters or the story.

A very Quick Read, albeit a good one.

The best part of this book, to me at least, was that the H and h, don't have any misunderstandings between them.
They know where they stand. Also I could feel for the heroine, and her frustration became my own. While I was annoyed at the H's stubbornness with believing in the curse, I could also understand why he felt the way he did (and his father and his uncles don't help matters, as they don't -understandably- let you forget about their curse for even one minute!) The only thing that bothered me was (and this is a bit of a spoiler, but not a huge one, I don't think) the ex-wife was the one who finally got the H to see things clearly, and make him believe in a possible HEA.

It was harder to like her, though that may be more because of this Romance Readers prejudice against all women in any Hero's past who isn't the heroine, more than there actually being anything bad about the ex. (The ex's responses at least to me, were to be expected, at least to some level)

For a child of divorce, the daughter seemed a bit too well adjusted as well, but again, that could just be me.

Though not "Oh My God, that was Amazing! "worthy this was a very good book and my first by CP. So While I wait for the next ones in the series to come out, I think I'll catch up on her old ones. CP just won herself a new fan!
