Center Fielder for the New York Renegades, John Roper, has had his share of publicity in the past. But since his last season, one that included an injury and losing the world series, that publicity has turned from positive to negative.
Amy Stone moves from Florida to New York to work as a publicist with her uncles company, Hot Zone, her first client is John. She has to get him into shape so he will be ready for spring training. But with his family pulling at him in every direction and their attraction blooming, her assignment gets harder and harder.
The Hot Zone series is what first hooked me into Carly Phillips books. I loved the first three in the series and John Roper was a character I was dying to hear more about. I loved him as Micki’s best friend and his metrosexuality and his charm really added to the previous books.
I didn’t hate this book, but I didn’t love it like I did the first three. The problems that Amy has with her family and the problems that John has with his, really got on my nerves, I thought the issues were rather silly. For John to be all consumed with his family 24/7 and for Amy to be proving herself to a father who has been dead for so long, just didn’t ring true to me.
That being said, there was plenty that I did enjoy. I liked Amy and John as a couple and thought their relationship was believable. I was happy to see him settle down. I laughed at some of the antics the side characters indulged in and I also liked catching up with some of the previous characters in this book. The epilogue was a little over top on the fromage scale for me, but all in all I enjoyed this book. I think Hot Property is a good day at beach or rainy afternoon read.

Fourth in the Hot Zone series, I found this book a lot of fun. For women who are big on sports and romance novels, this is a great combination. I liked the way they merged a couple of the interesting characters from prior books and gave them a story. It's about time that Micki's best friend got his story told. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Very good book! First one I read in the series now I want the rest!!

Great final book in the series! I look forward to Carly Phillips new series coming in October.
What can I say, book 4 of the Hot Zone series! Loved it! I love this whole series, but I truly enjoyed this book the best. Very well written! I read it in one day, at the pool with my daughter.
I just loved John and Amy's story! I just cannot believe I had to wait until 1/2 way through the book for their romance to start. I loved how John and Amy are both very strong characters.
Just one short season ago, major league center fielder John Roper had it all: the looksâ€"and personal lifeâ€"of a sports hero and the public's adoration. But this hot property's lucky streak has run out. After a World Series disaster, fans diss him, shock jocks mock him and his dysfunctional family hassles him for money he really can't spare. Now it's up to him, and Hot Zone publicist Amy Stone, to get his life back on track.
Amy finds it's easier said than done. What with the constant intrusions of his nutty family, a crazed fan playing stalker, and Roper's refusal to put his own needs first, she's starting to think that life in the fast lane isn't all it's cracked up to be. But when the two retreat to a secluded lodge, the sexy center fielder throws Amy a curveballâ€"one she never saw coming.…
