Three short historical romances about arranged marriage, all with different settings. The Victorian story by Mary Jo Putney is very good, with strong characters and a fair bit of angst. The second story, set in Texas, is quite sweet, though suffered from having a similar theme as the first story. I could not get into the third story, a highland romance chock full of purple prose.
I really loved the 2nd story in this book, "Jesse's Wife" It is a historical, as all 3 stories are.
Amy McAlister made one mistake, and would now pay for it the rest of her life. She married one of her father's ranch hands to save her reputation, and finds love.
Three unforgettable stories. The wedding of the Century - Sarah Vangelder is stunningly beautiful, extraordinarily wealthy and sold to the highest bidder for the price of a dukedom.
Jesse's Wife - Amy McAlister is the shy rancher's daughter had made one horrible mistake. ANd she would pay for it, for the rest of her life.
The Handfast - Anne Clelland is mistakenly snatched in a whiskey-inspired raid, the young ENglishwoman must marry a Scottish clansman for a year and a day.
