Nine months ago, Kasey Crandall would have defined "lucky" as "my life." Married to a wealthy, generous older man, pregnant with a once-in-a-lifetime baby, she was oozing with joy. Now, however, she was more apt to think, "just my luck."
Yes, motherhood was as glorious as she expected and she totally adored her daughter. Yet an inner voice was telling her something was wrong with her baby. But nobody wanted to hear that her life was not as perfect as it seemed.
Kasey knew she needed to be strong for her child and get her the right help...even if it meant going against her husband's wishes. Even if it meant turning to another man. Because sometimes a woman just has to make her own luck.

This was a great book. About a mother doing what she needs to do to take care of her child. I couldn't put this book down - read it in one day.

Great book. I love Jennifer Greene. It had a great story. You wanted to find out what was going to happen, and you got your happy ending. With that said I might not read it if I was pregnant or had a new baby.

This book is about a woman who had everything you cou;d dream of. That is until she had a baby her husband didn't really want. She was in labor outside the hospital and here comes a guy who tried to help her until her husband showed up. Wait until you read the rest of the story.

This was a good, quick, great-way-to-escape-reality-for-a-few-minutes, read.

This paperback was given to me. It's brand new. I have not read it because it's not my kind of book.

Vividly written novel about a woman taking the reins to make her own luck for herself and her precious once-in-a-lifetime baby.
