I really liked this one. I think it was as good or even better than the first in the series. The story is still, characteristically, warm and engaging, but the story line seems a bit more involved and the real-life problems of the region are also given some notice- lightly, but at least the author does recognize that everything is not peaches and roses.

This is the best-written of the "No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" series, with the exception of the original. The other books felt like filler, but this one had lots of sub-plots and was very enjoyable to read. If you liked "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency," be sure to read this sequel!

I like this series...the stories are perfect for summer, light reading.
Yet another from Alexander Mcall Smith and his no.1 Ladies Detective Agency. Botswana from the inside and up close!
This is a very enjoyable series. If you have enjoyed the other ladies detective stories, this one will not dissappoint you.
