Book Description:
Henry Huggins feels that nothing very interesting ever happens to him. But from the moment a stray dog in the drugstore begs for a taste of his ice-cream cone and downs it in one gulp, everything is different. Henry names the dog Ribsy and decides to keep him. A classic Beverly Cleary book, the first in the Henry Huggins series. Well loved by children since 1950. Eight year old Henry and his big goofy dog Ribsy have many humorous adventures. My favorite is "Gallons of guppies"!

I read this in third grade and did my book report on it. I really loved the dog in it (Ribsy)! he was so cute!

Not all with this ISBN are 50th Anniversary Edition, but all are good, clean fun that has lasted over time!

Melissa J. (Great chapter book to read to first graders! This book is not the 50th Anniversary Edition, but the cover still has Henry with the dog and the sign with just a cream background.
Book is brand new. A gift that is not what my son was interested in.
