Book Description:
Ex-cop Dave Robicheaux: his wife has been murdered and now they're after his little girl. From the Louisiana bayou to Montana's tribal lands, he's running from the bottle, a homicide rap, a professional killer... and the demons of his past.

Dave Robicheaux's friend, Dixie Lee Pugh, needs his help. Robicheaux's former roommate went from country western star to drunk driver, and is currently a struggling ex-con being framed for a crime he swears he didn't commit. Reluctantly, Robicheaux agrees to help Pugh because, if he doesn't, it looks like no one else will.

Another great Dave Robicheaux romp...only this time Dave, Alafair, Clete and an assorted group spend most of the book in Montana's tribal lands. As usual Dave's got to battle his enemies, his friends and himself. You'll love it.

One of my favortie mystery authors. If you love the deep south, most of his books will never fail to please those who also love mysteries. He knows how to give you just the right amount of description of the area as well as plenty of action.

This book has a small tear in rear cover and one in spine. Still very readable.

Ex-Homicide Cop from New Orleans is now running a Bait Shop and Boat rental in New Iberia, LA. The problem is someone keeps getting him involved in solving a crime. Usually a crime that threatens his life and that of his family. In this book he goes to Montana to find the answers he needs.

Another in this great series about Dave Robicheaux. Elmore Leonard would be proud of James Lee Burke's efforts.

A very suspenseful crime thriller with a very wry writing style about a Louisiana detective pursuing the murders of his wife as he struggles to protect his daughter form the same culprits.
