this was a fascinating view of drug dealers, new orleans life and the corruption of government officials and at the same time how important the love of children is to all people in all walks of life. fast moving story. could not put it down.

One of my favorite Dave Robicheaux novels. James Lee Burke creates an atomosphere that is unforgettable.

Fourth in a series about a cajun detective Dave Robicheaux set in the area around New Orleans.

I love Burke. No one else conjures up the feel of the Bayou quite like him. Wonderful mystery, great full-fledged characters, and delicious food!

This is a totally engrossing boook. Set in New Orleans about a cajun detective this thriller will hold your attention.

Not my favorite of his, but a good story nonetheless. The pace is exciting and the ending unforgettable.
