Susan L. wrote on 3/16/2007...Contents Under Pressure is written by a crime reporter in Miami who writes about Britt Montero, also a crime reporter, who seems to arrive at the scene of the crime when the police do. In this first book, Britt has many cases to write about but uncovers an old crime that no one seemed to be able to solve. Well written book that keeps you guessing until the end. You become part of Britt's life, including her relationship with a policeman, who brings some romance her way. I look forward to reading the next in this series.

Edna Buchanan knows every blood stain inch of pavement in Miami. A veteran crime reported with over twenty years experience, she had seen the dark side of paradise-and now brilliantly illuminates in a new novel of police correption, conspiracy and murder in a sweltering city about to explode.
I always enjoy the snappy dialogue and the crimes (drawn from Buchanan's real-life job as a crime reporter for the Miami Herald) - all of the Britt Montero books are worth reading.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...I like Britt Montero! She is a tough cookie and I like her spunk and her guts. I really enjoy this series about her. This was another good one and I can't wait to read more!
