Orginial 1988 publication. Great Book!

This must be an early Robards...not one of her best but an interesting read none-the-less. Given the results of current Genetic Genealogy the premise of this book....wealthy white female falls for good looking male who turns out to have a trace of black blood...isn't so much fiction as fiction imitating real life!

I rescued this copy from a yard sale for the Humane Society but haven't read it. I see the blurb is copied twice so I won't do it a third time and will just say the cover is mighty pretty ;)
