Book Description:
It's So hard to Kill Good Help These Days. . .

With three kids to raise on her own, Jane Jeffry sometimes needs a hand with the housework. But many of her complaining neighbors believe that the Happy Helper cleaning lady they all share wouldnt know a dustball if she was choking on it. That hardly seems reason enough, however, to do the disreputable domestic in.

So when the charwoman in question is discovered strangled to death with a vacuum cleaner cord, Jane decides to dig up the real dirt--if the tenacious single mom can find any time to spare between her PTA meetings and car-pooling duties. But despite her busy schedule, Jane is determined to tidy up the whole murderous mess--even if it means provoking a killer who may live as close as next door.

You will really like this book. I have become addicted to this series, it's funny, smart and a quick read. A different type of heroine, one you would really like to know in real life.

After hearing so much about this series, I finally got started on it. I enjoyed this first book so much, that I'm scrambling around to get all the other books in the series. I can't wait to read more!

This is the first book I have read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think her books are better than Diane Mott Davidson and just short of Evanovich. I am looking forward to reading the whole series.

Award-winning first mystery and it is easy to see why--great characters and quick reading. It's amazing what secrets a suburban neighborhood can harbor..do any of us really know our neighbors?

I look forward to reading more by Ms. Churchill.

Grime and Punishment is the first in the Jane Jeffry series. Jane finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation. She decides the police aren't working fast enough to solve it. Between PTO and car pool, she is hunting for a murderer.

I can't wait to read the next in the series.

Jane Jeffry is always a good read. One not-so-great daily maid, strangled with a vacuum cleaner cord. She's just got to get involved with this one. Nice light-hearted mystery ... not creepy or gory.

This is the first in the series of Jane Jeffry books -- very, very funny, especially if you are a typical suburban mom. It's not Agatha Christie, but it's fun and occasionally true to my life, especially as she deals with her kids.
