Tragic story that brings a much deeper meaning to the word "love". Boyd interweaves a spellbinding tale of no less than three lives intricately connected to a much beloved human, Tessa, and the fate of the pack as they know it.

Of all the books I've read in my lifetime, and I've read a lot, this is my number one favorite. I love the story line and the philosophy. I have a first edition of this book I won't loan out, so I bought this one to lend out to others. I have reccommened this book to lots of people and everyone who has read it has loved it as much as I did. This is just an exceptional story, a real page turner. You will not be disappointed.

Pretty good. Took a little while to get into the book, but a fast read once you get to know the characters. I was surprised at the ending, so many "love" stories end happily ever after. This one had some twists that were unexpected. Still was interesting and I already ordered the second in the series.
Cynthia C. (I'd never heard of this author, but wanted to read something in the werewolf genre. All I can say is WOW! I am impressed! Not so much sex in this one , only a few scenes, neither crude, nor silly, nicely done. This story stayed with me after I finished it. Not a book I will forget easily. But be prepared it's not a happily ever after story, as a matter of fact, the ending is very sad. Still, well worth it. I've already ordered the 2nd book in the series.
