Book Description:
A Splendid Opportunity

A shipload of women -- theirs for the taking! Pirate captain Gideon Horn couldn't be more delighted. His men are tired of wandering the high seas and want to settle down with wives on the uncharted island paradise they've discovered. And the women are bound to be grateful to be rescued from the life of drudgery awaiting them in New South Wales ... Lord, he's so clever!

A Splendid Passion

Married? To pirates? Sara Willis couldn't be more appalled. First she demands proper courting -- at least a month. The darkly handsome pirate lord gives them two weeks. Then Sara insists the men vacate their huts for the women -- Gideon demands her kisses in return. As the demands heat up, so do their passions -- and soon Sara can't remember just why she's fighting the devilishly seductive captain so hard...

This is my first book by Sabrina Jeffries - but it won't be my last. "The Pirate Lord" has everything: intense sexual tension between the two main characters that leads to hot and steamy love scenes, engaging relationships between a colorful cast of secondary characters, quite a few tugs on the old heartstrings and more than plenty of laughs!

Gideon is one of the sexiest heroes I've read about in quite a while - the perfect pirate. And Sara's stubborness and strong will placed her in quite a few humorous situations.

I simply adored this book and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Okay. Not overly exciting. This had couple sexy parts (those too could have held more intensity). It doesn't read in classic pirate style (tough male tormenting the female mind & body) - but, lets retire & live happily ever after on an unknown island. Com'on!

This book was so-so. It was a little too far fetched. The sex scenes were pretty hot!

Although I would not suggest this book as suitable for young readers, it does make an entertaining read for adults. Profanity was absent which is a big plus. There are some incidents of sexual encounters, but they do not over weigh the story ling.

The story unfolds slowly at first and builds momentum as it develops.

This book is an excellent beginning of a new trilogy. I have read several books by this author and IMHO this is one of her best to date. The story held my interest; the characters were all well developed and interesting and the ending was excellent. This is a must read for all Jeffries fans.
