Book Description:
Desperate and determined, Maggie Stanley grabs her small baby and runs into the snowy Idaho night. In her loneliest, blackest hour, she unexpectedly finds a warmth and comfort she has never known in the tender compassion of a handsome, down-and-out stranger. In Rafe Kendrick, Maggie recognizes a soul wounded like her own—though she knows she must never trust any man ever again. Rafe is more than he seems—an enigmatic man of secrets who could give Maggie the moon, had he not vowed to spend his life alone. But sometimes love's flames can transform a cold world into paradise—and a man who's lost nearly everything, a woman who's forgotten how to dream, and the helpless child who needs them both can become that most wondrous creation: a family.

Absolutely LOVED this one. A great story of a girl on the run that runs into a man in a box car who is more than what he seems. Savign her life in more ways than one.

the story of rafe kendrick and maggie. this is a continuation of the kendrick/coulter family series. catherine anderson creates characters that you'd like to meet in real life, and this story is no exception.

I usually don't reread a book but I have read this one over and over. I love the story and the entire line of the Kendrick /Coulter family.

This was another good book by Catherine Anderson. It is the start of the Kendrick/Coulter series. Lot's of emotion and drama with a heartbroken man who lost his family and a woman on the run from her family.

Maggie and her baby are on the run. Now a seemingly homeless man has offered her a place of sanctuary.

This is my favorite Catherine Anderson book. I couldn't put it down.

The first and possibly the best of this series. Anderson has a way with characters that have somehow been 'damaged' by life. The people she writes about are so easy to love and the stories are hard to put down. I was compelled to read every book in the Kendrick/Coulter series and I was not disappointed by any of them.

This was a good read. It kept your attention but the also really focused on the romantic part of the story the most. Lots of action especially in the end.
