This is a great romance. I love romances that have deeper, serious themes. This one has a pervading theme of past losses and how one chooses to live with the fears caused by those losses. Both of the main characters have their own issues to deal with here and, in each other, they find the comfort and the challenge to face their own demons. I even teared up a few times at their pain. The best of Christie Ridgeway's that I've read yet.

Entertaining story about two sisters who live on an island, and two astronaut friends who come to the island because one of them was hit by a car on his motorcycle and he's temporarily blind. Lyssa has survived cancer and is only 23. She gets involved with Deke who is 43. The other sister, Zoe, falls for the blind astronaut but she doesn't want to leave the island because she has these irrational fears that everything bad that has happened to the two sisters happened on the mainland. Yeager has been permanently grounded by NASA because of the accident and he doesn't want to face that fact.
