Book Description:

The Man Who Got Away...

Lucas Hall once made Tessa Jardine feel 200% female-and 100% foolish after he walked out of her life without a word. Now, the tall, heart-catchingly handsome former Coast Guard hero is back. But a painful tragedy stands between them, and no matter how determined Lucas is to regain her trust, Tessa's equally determined to resist him. If only she could forget the passion she'd found in his arms...

...Is Back

Tessa once set Lucas's world on fire, and he's willing to do anything to regain her love. Working tegether has created a tension too powerful to ignore, and reignited the desire that's too powerful to resist. And with each passing day, and each burning kiss, Lucas is determined to make Tessa believe in their future together-and to make her see him again as one great catch.

Love the second time around, this time with a happier ending.
This plot has a little mystery, family and romance issues that the characters have to confront.

Lucas and Tessa are thrown together again, through their careers.
Tessa has worked hard to reach her position in a male dominated business,
And as the First Mate of a newly christened Great Lakes cruise ship that Lucas is the captain of
they have to struggle with their mutual attraction and all the old unresolved issues.

Problem is Lucas was involved in a failed Coast Guard rescue mission that resulted in
the death of Tessa's youngest brother.
Then there's the matter of his walking out on her all those years ago.
Lucas is still fighting his memories, starting with his guilt over Matt's death.
Along with the fear that she may either pity or condemn him
if Tessa learns the truth about why this new job is so important to him.

See this is why I dont like to write reviews..... it just makes me want to re read the book! Then I would never have any books to post on PBS

I really enjoyed this book for a number of reasons. One was that the occupation of the hero and heroine were ones you don't read about every day!
