Penelope Featherington has secretly adored her best friend's brother for...well, it feels like forever. After half a lifetime of watching Colin Bridgerton from afar, she thinks she knows everything about him, until she stumbles across his deepest secret...and fears she doesn't know him at all.
Colin Bridgerton is tired of being thought nothing but an empty-headed charmer, tired of everyone's preoccupation with the notorious gossip columnist Lady Whistledown, who can't seem to publish an edition without mentioning him in the first paragraph. But when Colin returns to London from a trop aboard he discovers notyhing in his life is quite the same -- especially Penelope Featherington! The girl haunting his dreams. But when he discovers that Penelope has secrets of her own, this elusive bachelor must decide...is she his biggest threat -- or his promise of a happy ending?
Excellent read. Another Bridgerton tale. Answers the question of "Lady Whistledown's" idenity.

I never tire of the Bridgertons! Colin is the charmer, but wants to be known for more than that. And this book contains some surprises regarding Lady Whistledown!

This is the book that reveals who "Lady Whistledown" is!! Colin Bridgerton is the brother that this book marries off! Penelope (a friend of a bridgerton sister) has been secretly in love with him for years!!! I enjoyed this book.

This is the fourth book of the series and Julia Quinn keeps you reading into the night, and sometimes into the next day. Very well written. LaVerne K.

I think that this is my favorite Bridgerton book. I really can't explain why. I always loved Colin in the other stories and Love how Penelope gets her very own happy ever after. I will miss Lady Whistledown forever in this series, maybe that is why it is my favorite, bittersweet because we finally find out who Whistledown is, then have to say goodbye for the remainder of the series. She added a little something to these books. Julia Quinn just released an epilogue to this story - sure to be a fun read (available by e-book or on i-tunes)

LOve this series! We finally find out who Lady Whistledown is (not who I thought). Definitely an enjoyable read.

Very entertaining, just like the other books in this series. Colin is one of my favorite characters in the series.
