This book offers a basic list of lesson plans covering what the average Kindergartner should know. It includes Language and Literature,(including the stories and poems needed to read to your child, History and Geography, Visual Arts, Music, Mathematics, and Science. It could be used as a basic curriculum for a 4 or 5 yr old, fleshed out with books from the library.

For the kindergartener, this book is a comprehensive compilation of familiar and favorite poems, fairy tales, fables, and beloved stories, familiar sayings and phrases, history and geography, visual arts, music, mathematics, and science. All are age appropriate and level appropriate suggestions that can be used by public school teachers and homeschoolers alike.

As a pre-kindergarten teacher, I can say that this book has helpful tips and a good grasp of the skills required to enter kindergarten. This book can help you help your child work on skills at home.

This is a great guide for the parent of a kindergartner. It is very detailed and gives good, practical teaching activities. This would also be great for the homeschooling parent.
